to Bangkok today, a 14 hr. bus ride. I'm in southern Thailand now -

We are happy to have news again from Zane Hunt. We have not heard from him directly since November.
Zane left
November 26 (actually it was at 1 AM on the 27th.), headed first for Thailand. He was there for a few weeks getting his passports and other papers ready, then went on to Nepal.
He trekked to Mt. Everest Base Camp, ran out of daylight and battery power and had to bivouac at Camp (17,600 ft.) with no gear. He reports a long cold night! He became very well known in a short
period of time, as news of his adventure traveled fast among other trekers.
Zane also hiked to the top of Kalapatther (18,193 feet) for a wonderful view of Everest.
He
is on his way now for some pearl diving in the islands of Thailand - maybe he will send us some for you! Stay tuned for word on what he finds!
